There are two main themes that stand out as “must see” when in Lofoten, these include picturesque traditional fishing villages, and white sand arctic beaches. On this tour we combined the best of the two with a guided sightseeing tour to Henningsvær (traditional fishing village) and Haukland Beach (white sand arctic beach).

The guided sightseeing Henningsvær and Haukland Beach tour starts in the fishing village and municipality “Svolvær” where we our crew meets you in the morning. Our professional drivers & experienced guides make this scenic journey a fun and educational drive and guided tour where you get to see both Henningsvær and Haukland beach, alongside a scenic and educational drive through the Lofoten landscape. At each location we park the minibus and stretch out legs while exploring these amazing coastal locations.

Henningsvær

Henningsvær is located 20 Kilometers (12 Miles) and about 40 minute drive from Svolvær. This traditional fishing village accommodates about 500 permanent residents.The village is build on top of a couple of islands and rock formations, connected to the rest of Lofoten with small picturesque bridges, making the drive to Henningsvær an absolute treat for your senses.

Narrow streets and fishing boats parked all in the middle of town, are blended with small shops, restaurants, dried fish and maybe the world’s most unique soccer field.

Haukland Beach

Haukland Beach is one of Lofoten’s most famous beach and hike, located on the westside on Lofoten. The Caribbean like-waters, mountain landscape in the background, and its white sand beach make Haukland Beach, a popular destination for travelers and photo-seekers year round.

Haukland beach is Lofoten’s “swimming beach”, although the water temperatures don’t reach above 15 degrees, you’ll see locals and tourists enjoying the water in the summer sun (water temperatures range from 3-15 degrees). Haukland beach is a unique destination in Lofoten as it offers the possibility to easy access from the road that takes you all the way to the beach.

What about the Weather?

Our team forecasts the local weather along with talking to a network of guides in the area to ensure you have a comfortable time. If we are not able to run the tour due to weather, we will make sure to keep you informed.

What about food?

We will provide a light picnic lunch along with snacks that include nuts and chocolate. We also will provide warm drinks such as coffee and tea on your tour. If you have any food allergies, please let our team know as we accommodate all dietary requests.

Bringing the entire gang along?

If you are traveling in a bigger group we can offer several cars or buses where you will all get to enjoy this experience with the entire group. Please feel free to contact us if you are a larger group as we have great experience in hosting big events, both on land and at sea.
