Our Philosophy
Why work with usOur Philosophy
At Pukka Travels, we are constantly striving to create, provide & execute unique experiences for today’s modern explorer. We believe the next generation of travel embodies exclusive experiences close to nature. At 69 degrees North, the winters are powerful and mysterious while the summers are golden and everlasting. With this, Pukka Travelers inherit an extraordinary perspective of the world after exploring with us.
The Place
Exploring a destination nearly untouched by inhabitants is something that is both unique and difficult to do in the world today. We manage to create tailor-made experiences for those looking to fulfill their travels with something more than a spectacular photo (don’t worry, you’ll get those too). We respect the world in which we live and make sure to seamlessly integrate with the wildlife we cross paths with, and the mountains we summit.
The People
We are modern explorers, and we cater to people who value experiences just as much as the people who they surround themselves with. Everyone in this world has a unique story to tell and we want to foster a space which enables Pukka Travelers to share their story both with us, and the story that is created in the Arctic with the people they cross paths during this journey that we call life.
More information about our Tours

Safety & Comfort is Key
Even though it is summer, the water is still very cold. We will provide insulated arctic safety suits, gloves and goggles that will keep you dry and warm during your expedition out at sea.

The environment is also our priority
In order to run an eco-friendly organization, we choose to use sailing boats and electric cars for the majority of our tours. We also measure the amount of fuel we use and offset our carbon footprint with a carbon neutralizer company.
We know how important the photos are
Need a tripod? No problem, we got one for you at no extra cost. Just ask us when booking if you need a tripod.

Wildlife & Nature
Wildlife is the main theme during these sailing excursions and we have been fortunate enough to see a variety of wildlife when sailing through the fjords. We often see eagles, seals, lot’s of different sea-birds, humpback whales & Orcas (if they are in the area) as we explore the fjords. In addition - you get to try fishing during our tours.
We provide warm suits
We include warm suits on this excursion, however we do recommend to bring proper winter clothing for your maximum comfort. The catamaran is equipped for safe winter sailing with an effective heating system and of course, our skippers have all of the licenses and knowledge needed to make you feel comfortable while out at sea.
A personalized experience
While many other operators have big boats with a lot of people, we care for your personal experience while sailing with us. Our guides would love to answer any questions you may have while sailing. Our crew feeling as if they are out on the water new with friends, while in a professional, safe and comfortable setting.
What about food?
On our tours we take your comfort very seriously and we know how nice it is to have a bite to eat along with warm drinks. Our team will prepare some snacks and warm drinks for you to enjoy during a pit stop.

Traveling in a large group?
If you are traveling in a bigger group we can offer several boats where you will all get to enjoy the fjords while sailing out in the Arctic. Please feel free to contact us if you are a larger group as we have great experience in hosting big events, both on land and at sea.
