Pukka Nature Camp
6,5 Hours, 18:00-00:30, 15th December - 15th March- Meeting point in central Tromsø

The Northern Lights Nature Camp is the latest in our Arctic experiences portfolio and we are very proud to bring you and your friends/family to this beautiful site and host an evening with absolute passion. At our camp we enjoy the arctic nature, storytelling, photography workshop, fresh, warm food and the opportunity to see the northern lights dancing in the sky.
Tromsø is known as one of the best places in the world to watch the Northern Lights, or Aurora Borealis. But with so many tour operators we have found that visitors of the Arctic wish some guidance in where to turn to maximize their Northern Lights experience.
We asked our guests - they did not want to go in a minbus for 10 hours - so we built a beautiful Northern Lights Nature Camp
At Pukka Travels we listen to our guests and after talking to thousands of travelers here in the Arctic we found that comfort combined with adventure in epic nature is the best possible mix. By adding passionate guides, talented photographers and the possibility to witness Northern Lights from our inspiring camp, we believe we have a great Arctic evening event for you.
We will meet at our base in central Tromsø for a briefing and warm drinks before heading out to the campsite in premium vehicles. Your guide will stay with you for the entire evening and look after your best interest of an enjoyable experience and getting great photos with you home.
When the road ends, this is where the true camp experience will begin. From the moment you step out of the car, we will be greeted by our Pukka camp manager who will lead us into the forest and to our comfortable heated tipi tent. This is where the magic begins.

An Arctic evening to remember
Our guides are professional and help you with your camera settings as well as telling you about the history and sciences around the Northern Lights in the Arctic region.We know how important the photos are
We know how important the photos are, therefore we will send you a batch of professional photos that you can add to your travel collection or share with your friends online. Need a tripod? No problem, we got one for you at no extra cost. We also take your picture with the Northern Lights (most hopefully) or polar nature scenery in the background.
If you are a bigger group
We can offer several cars where you get to enjoy the camp together. We adjust the plan to suit your needs, care for your experience, pick you up and drop you off in town and coordinate groups up to 200 people.
What about food?
On our tours we take your comfort very seriously and we know how nice it is to have a bite to eat along with warm drinks. Our team will prepare a warm local meal cooked over the fire that can be enjoyed on our reindeer skins together with fresh coffee and premium teas.
If we don't see the Northern Lights?
Of course we can not guarantee sightings, but we have a very good track record of seeing Northern Lights in the region. If you do not see the Northern Lights on the first night, you can join the camp a second evening at 20% discount and a third evening at 30% discount (subject to availability). If you buy our “Northern Lights Camp Pass” when planning your trip you get full access for 3 evenings at 20% off.

The Schedule
18:00 - Meeting at the Pukka Base (In the City Center)
18:10 - 18:30 - Coffee/tea & welcome briefing
18:30 - Departure in premium vehicles to the camp
19:45 - Greetings by the camp team & a short trek to the Tipi
20:00 - A warm welcome to the Pukka Nature & Northern Lights evening event
20:15 - History about arctic explorers and legends about the Northern Lights
21:15 - Photography workshop to make it fun and easy to take photos at night
21:45 - Set up beach camp / join for a photogenic “walk in nature” to take pictures in the polar night
22:15 - Local, fresh warm food while listening to storytelling by the fire
23:15 - Sweet goodbyes and gear up to leave the camp
23:30 - Departure towards tromsø, your guide is with you all the way
00:30 - Arrival back in Tromsø city at our base on Kirkegata 1.
Your guide will take complimentary photos of you with the Northern Lights or the Arctic Nature Scenery
