Winter fishing in the Arctic is a thrilling and comfortable experience while onboard our luxurious catamaran.
You can always keep warm in the saloon with freshly brewed coffee, snacks and warm slippers, or be outside to feel the fresh air against your cheeks while fishing for your own catch of the day.
From late November to January the sun does not rise at 69 degrees North. Therefore, we use illuminated lures where there is even a chance to see the Northern lights dance in the sky above you.
In the winter, an abundance of large fish swim into the fjords from the Barents Sea, to join the existing population of local species. We have made it our clear goal to provide you with an epic day at sea while catching your own fish.
Lastly, Our skippers and guides have the knowledge and first hand experience to keep you safe and comfortable while enjoying the night sky. After hundreds of sailing tours in the area we have found the best spots where we have the highest chances to catch fish. Your skipper will also navigate to different areas depending on the weather forecast.

The Golden Eagle, our comfortable yacht is located in central Tromsø, and your professional skipper will be waiting to greet you at the dock. Our tour groups are small (up to 12 passengers) in order to make you feel as comfortable as possible. The boat is also very stable, and the catamaran design reduces motion from the sea.

We care for your personal experience while sailing with us. Our guides would love to answer any questions you may have while sailing. Our crew loves feeling as if they are out on the water new with friends, while in a professional, safe and comfortable setting.
An Eco-friendly organization
In order to run an eco-friendly organization, we choose to use sailing boats for the majority of our tours. We also measure the amount of fuel we use and offset our carbon footprint with a carbon neutralizer company.
We provide all of the gear you need
We provide all of the gear you need including fishing gear, warm suits, extra gloves, hats, and boots, however we do recommend to bring proper winter clothing for your maximum comfort. The catamaran is equipped for safe winter sailing with an effective heating system and of course, our skippers have all of the licenses and knowledge needed to make you feel comfortable while out at sea.

If you are a bigger group
If you are traveling in a bigger group we can offer several boats where you get to enjoy the fjords while sailing out in the Arctic. Please feel free to contact us if you are a larger group as we have great experience in hosting big events, both on land and at sea.
What about food?
Great question! We take your comfort seriously and know how nice it is to replenish your energy with warm drinks and small snacks throughout the day. We will also prepare a fresh, delicious fish soup made from the fish that was caught during the tour. This is a beyond unique experience and very much appreciated by our guests.
