Your Floating Hotel: Onboard our 72ft sailing vessel, Duen III, your comfort, safety and personalized experience is very important to us. The skipper and crew’s main priority, other than your safety is to get to know you, adjust the tour to your needs and help you get the most out of your time onboard.
3 Home-Cooked Meals
Food & Drinks: Gather around the the warm saloon for breakfast, lunch and dinner while sailing. Your crew will prepare classic Norwegian dishes, Pukka style. There is always fresh coffee, and tea on board along with snacks to keep you full. If the weather is good, you will even be able to catch, prepare and taste your very own catch.
Northern Lights Watching
Northern Lights: When sailing through the polar night, your crew will prepare a homemade Norwegian meal while waiting for the Northern Lights to dance in the sky above us. We will take you to secluded spots to watch the lights from the deck, or if the weather permits, from the warmth of the heated hot tub on the aft of the boat. The boat also offers 360 panoramic views from inside the warm, indoor saloon if you prefer.
Whale Safari
Whale Safari: In the morning you will wake up to fresh coffee and a delicious breakfast spread while the crew will to our favorite whale watching spots! We are always looking forward to greeting the majestic whales who seek food in the fjords during the winter time. Humpback whales and Orcas come far into the fjords each year to hunt for herring. Please note that when the whales are not to be seen in the area we provide a ARCTIC SAIL SAFARI instead - cruising the fjords is a lovely experience!
Fjord Cruising
Fjord Cruising: Sail through the epic Arctic fjords while either being on deck, or watching from the heated saloon with a freshly brewed cup of coffee or tea in hand. There are few places in the world with such vibrant wildlife, and what better way to see it than a sailing ship.

Your accommodation for the eveningThe Sleeping Quarters: Duen III has 4 heated cabins, each with a private bathroom and shower for your own comfort and privacy. With 3 different style of cabins, you are able to choose the room that will be most comfortable on your journey.
Meet Duen III. A CT 65 designed by the world renowned American designer, Robert Perry. Duen III was born in 1987 and was built for the Arctic conditions of the North. She has a sturdy build with a thick hull and pilot house, along with a spacious, classic wooden interior with three different seating areas. She has five heated cabins (1 double berth cabin and 8 single berths in 4 cabins) for the guests that travel with us. Each room has its own toilet and shower.

We have a tremendous amount of respect for these animals and have made a promise to make minimal impact on the animals while still being able to witness them in their wild habitat.

The scenery surrounding Tromsø is breathtaking during the daytime, but sailing in the dark under a clear starry sky with the opportunity to witness the Northern Lights is something very unique and special that only a small selection of explorers get to experience.
We provide all of the gear you need
We provide all of the gear you need including warm suits, extra gloves, and hats, however we do recommend to bring proper winter clothing for your maximum comfort. The sailing yacht is equipped for safe winter sailing with an effective heating system and of course, our skippers have all of the licenses and knowledge needed to make you feel comfortable while out at sea.

Need a tripod? No problem, we can provide one to you at no additional cost.
What about food?
What about food? Great question! We take your comfort seriously and know how nice it is to replenish your energy with warm drinks when outside and a healthy homemade Norwegian dinner inside.
Traveling in a bigger group?
We can offer several cars where you get to enjoy the lights together in some of our secret spots. We adjust the plan to suit your needs, care for your experience, pick you up and drop you off at your hotel and coordinate groups up to 200 people.
