Dog sledding is a fun and memorable activity that we warmly recommend as a part of your itinerary. It may actually be one of the most appreciated on land activities one can do in the arctic landscape so we made sure to partner with our favourite kennel just 25 minutes from Tromsø centrum.

It’s an adventures, thrilling and truly unique experience to feel the power and kindness of the Husky’s.

The team that takes care of you at the camp are truly a knowledgeable and genuine group of enthusiasts. It’s a pure blessing to have them share the amazing feeling of how it is to lead a dog sled with happy and strong Alaskan huskies.

This experience provides an active and fun day to remember for the rest of your life. While following your experienced guide with local knowledge of the area you actually get to drive the sled yourself to make this extra exciting

All The Gear You Need

All the gear you need is provided on site including warm suits, winter boots, woolen socks, hats, mittens, buff (cover neck, mouth and nose) and head lamps. The facilities are clean and comfortable while the traditional Lavuu (Sami tent) is heated with a fireplace where hot coffee, tea and chocolate cake is served.

Pick Up in Tromsø

A pickup in central Tromsø is included and the team make sure to bring you back with a smile on your face. You get a proper introduction to the sledding and there will be some time to socialise and take pictures with the dogs - they are very excited to meet you!
