The Pukka Philosophy

This is what lights our fire

Our Philosophy

At Pukka Travels, we are constantly striving to create, provide & execute unique experiences for today’s modern explorer. We believe the next generation of travel embodies exclusive experiences close to nature. At 69 degrees North, the winters are powerful and mysterious while the summers are golden and everlasting.  With this, Pukka Travelers inherit an extraordinary perspective of the world after exploring with us.

The Place

Exploring a destination nearly untouched by inhabitants is something that is both unique and difficult to do in the world today. We manage to create tailor-made experiences for those looking to fulfill their travels with something more than a spectacular photo (don’t worry, you’ll get those too). We respect the world in which we live and make sure to seamlessly integrate with the wildlife we cross paths with, and the mountains we summit.

The People

We are modern explorers, and we cater to people who value experiences just as much as the people who they surround themselves with. Everyone in this world has a unique story to tell and we want to foster a space which enables Pukka Travelers to share their story both with us, and the story that is created in the Arctic with the people they cross paths during this journey that we call life.

We promise to foster an environment that enables our guests to become as inspired as possible without sacrificing the comfort and service expected when traveling in harsh, ever-changing conditions. For many, this is a trip of a lifetime and we want to ensure our guests will go home with stories that will be passed on for generations to come.

Let us introduce ourselves

Meet the team

The Pukka Team

Our crew is a versatile bunch.  We are 9 people from 7 countries working together to change the way humans travel. We sail in Arctic waters, catch, fillet & cook cod for lunch on a daily basis. We ride alongside whales (without getting too close of course) though, they often initiate regattas right next to us. They win. Did we mention that happens while we are still driving luxurious catamaran… at 69 degrees North?

We ski, snowboard, sauna, hike, bike, sail, make people smile, host local events, create experiences twenty-somethings can tell their grandkids one day. We help produce stories for explorers, and want to ensure travelers, adventures, and locals respect the world we live in. Oh, and we drink coffee but that goes without saying.
