Arctic RIB-Boat Tour Tromsø, NorwayAn affordable and fast tour filled with history, adventure & epic beauty
There is so much to explore around Tromsø and the wildlife in the fjords is truly something magical! This RIB-Boat Tour is a fast and affordable way to see the fjords on a guided tour with our experienced skippers. Don’t miss the thrill of flying across the fjords in up to 45 knots.
A thrilling adventure at sea.
Tromsø is famously known for its beautiful nature, thriving marine life and beautiful fjords that are located around the main island. What not everyone knows, however is how much history and points of interest that are located in these incredible areas. Vikings, Samis and the “modern” norths-men have been living here for more than 10,000 years, and throughout history the sea has been the main natural resource where societies and villages have been built around the area during this time.
We wanted to create a fun, affordable way to explore the amazing surroundings while learning about the history that we find so fascinating. The perfect way to do so is by boat, and to cover as many points of interest as possible. So we have designed a high speed RIB boat tour, where your skipper & guide safely navigates the fjords and provides a guided tour at the most beautiful and interesting spots in the area.
This tour offers the perfect combination between a thrilling experience at sea, and a short history lesson alongside the opportunity to spot wildlife such as seabirds, eagles, and sometimes seals or porpoises (small whales in the size of a dolphin). We don’t always see the mammals inside the fjords where this tour navigates, but the stunning nature and fast paced experience is a really appreciated experience with excellent feedback from our guests.
We provide warm safety suits, goggles, gloves and boots to make this Arctic experience in the fjords as comfortable as possible. Your skipper is an experienced, certified skipper and we always keep the groups small (up to 12 people) for you to get the personal experience and connection with our guides that we strive for at Pukka Travels.
Before the tour takes off we will meet up at our Base camp in central Tromsø for a briefing and to get dressed in the necessary gear to stay dry and warm. The RIB boat is located about 200 meters from the base camp. You will get your own seat and an assigned small locker where you can keep a small bag or a camera safe. During the tour, there will be opportunities to take photos and ask questions when we stop at points of interest. After the tour we will gather again in our warm lounge and enjoy a cup of fresh coffee / tea.

At Pukka Travels, we care about your comfort and if you are warm, you will have a much better experience. We will provide insulated arctic safety suits, gloves and goggles that will keep you dry and warm during your expedition out at sea.
You are our #1 in our hearts
At Pukka Travels our #1 priority is our travelers. If there is anything we can do to make your experience in Tromsø better, please let our team know. We are available 7 days per week.
Keeping our Earth Clean & Happy
In order to run an eco-friendly organization, we choose to use sailing boats and electric cars for the majority of our tours. We also measure the amount of fuel we use and offset our carbon footprint with a carbon neutralizer company.
X marks the spot
We love showing you our backyard, which is why we have a variety of spots marked on our maps. We will take you to the best one depending on the weather conditions during the time of your tour. All to make you feel comfortable while out on the water, or on a land-based tour.
What about food?
On our tours we take your comfort very seriously and we know how nice it is to have a bite to eat along with warm drinks. After the tour, we will come back to our Arctic Lounge in the center of Tromsø where you will enjoy cake, coffee and tea.
Meet Our RIB-Boat
Meet the flying fish. A 650 horse powered beast that flies (or feels like it) right over the water and through the fjords surrounding Tromsø. She seats 12 passengers and is operated by one of our skippers with all commercial licenses.
Bringing the entire gang along?
If you are traveling in a bigger group we can offer several boats where you will all get to enjoy the fjords while sailing out in the Arctic. Please feel free to contact us if you are a larger group as we have great experience in hosting big events, both on land and at sea.
